The iconic Royal Crescent, which forms the pinnacle of Trevethow Riel, is nearing completion.
The development consists of 20 large grand houses and apartments behind a unifying Georgian-style façade which enjoy fantastic views to the east. The elegant and imposing Crescent is an exceptional piece of architecture that fits seamlessly into the natural gradient of the surrounding landscape.
Of the 14 houses that form part of the scheme, one has already been reserved and there’s only one of the six apartments still available to buy.
The majority of the houses are four bedroomed, with one three bedroom and one five bedroom also available. All have double garages and the five bedroom property also includes a workshop above the garage. The living rooms are located on the first floor to take advantage of the views and have a wood burner for cosy nights in.
The Royal Crescent is inspired by the great eighteenth century Crescents of Bath and Bristol.
The history of Truro and its connection with Bath are inextricably linked due to the marriage of two wealthy and powerful 18th century families. The Daniells of Truro married into the family of Ralph Allen – a prominent builder of early 18th century Bath, who worked with the great architects of the time to shape the city. As a result of this union, Bath stone is found extensively in Truro. Trevethow Riel’s architect, Ben Penreath, wanted the Royal Crescent to make the gentlest nod to these important and little-known historical connections.
A showhome will open in January.
